Here is the summary of what our groups have been involved with during March 2021.

We currently have 30 dogs in our care, of whom 14 are reserved.

We had one flight during March for a total of 13 dogs, 12 of whom had forever homes in place and one dog went into UK foster in Surrey.

We have one flight 22 March for 12 dogs all of whom have forever homes in place.

We paid our outstanding Cyprus vet and kennel bills at a total cost of 8045 euros.
We donated £425 to help four pointers in the care of other Cyprus based rescue organisations.
We received £3140 from the Apollo Grand Easter raffle, £37 from Lisa’s pocket pouch sales, £200 from Nicola’s scratch card fundraiser, £20 from Kris’s snuffle mat sales and £368 in general donations. We also received £308.75 in proceeds from the sales of our new branded merchandise items.

The Take Away The Tears container shipment to Cyprus will hopefully be setting off this later this month. Last week we arranged for all the donated items which are sent by group members to Gillian Fewster throughout the year to be couriered down to TATT and they will be added to the shipment. We also paid £400 for a large quantity of vet bed and rubber backed mats which will also be included in the items being sent out. We have 39 x 15kg bags of Apollo dog food to be sent which were sponsored by group members, and we will also be donating a large quantity of bags of our food. All these items will be shared around a number of the smaller shelters and pounds on the Island.

We welcomed 472 new members to our three groups (Rehoming Cyprus Pointers, Apollo’s Angels and Apollo’s Angels Events). There were a total of 44,926 posts, comments and reactions in those three groups during March.

The next summary will be posted 1st May.
