This is the summary of what our groups have been involved with during March 2023.

We currently have 19 dogs in our care, of whom one is reserved.
We had one flight on 26 March for 6 dogs, 3 of which went to forever homes and 3 into UK foster. Three other dogs in UK foster have also now been adopted. We currently have 5 dogs in UK foster all of whom are still available.

Our next flight will be on the 30th of April and we are in the process of arranging which dogs will be travelling on it.

We donated £650 to help 5 pointers in the care of other Cyprus based rescue organisations. We paid our outstanding Cyprus vet and kennel bills the total amount of which was 3958.50 euros. We also donated £200 to the street dog/cat neuter and release community North Cyprus which paid for 4 stray dogs to be neutered.

We received £583 from Nicola’s mothers day raffle, £340 from Jan’s bonus ball fundraisers, £15 from Ashcroft Animal Accessories, £10 from Lottie Long Legs, £50 from the Hungarian Vizsla UK Assc, £151.50 from Jill Larcombe and Sandi Dawson Spring Market, £100 from Mike Raworth, £150 from Sarah Walker, £100 from Sharon Coker and £45 in general donations.

The Apollo Easter Auction has now begun.

We have previously worked with Take Away The Tears and donated pallets of Apollo’s Angels dog food which was sent via them to Cyprus and shared around the various pounds and shelters across the island. Since Brexit we unfortunately can no longer send food to Cyprus but Sue Nuttall from TATT is going over to Cyprus in May and will be buying dog food there at a discounted price which she is then going distribute around the pounds and shelters. Apollo’s Angels dog food are sending a donation to TATT to help towards buying the food and if anyone else would like to donate towards a bag please can they send the payment by Paypal to [email protected]using family and friends option and please add Cyprus food in the comments box.

The March winner of our monthly draw who wins a Christine Cummings ceramic sculpture in our Pay It Forward fundraising event is Susan Burnett.
Across our three facebook groups (Rehoming Cyprus Pointers, Apollo’s Angels and Apollo’s Angels Events) 199 new members joined and there were a total of 29,804 posts, comments and reactions during March.

The next summary will be posted 1st May.
