This is the summary of what our groups have been involved with during August 2022.
We currently have 37 dogs in our care, of whom 16 are reserved.
We have two flights in September, one on the 4th for 10 dogs 5 of whom have forever homes in place and 5 will be going into foster homes. The other flight is on the 25th for 11 dogs, all of whom have forever homes in place. The 6 dogs we placed in foster homes in August have all now been adopted. One dog we originally rehomed 4 years ago who became available again in July is now reserved and will be moving to his new home very shortly.
We paid £1024 for crate returns, and donated £400 to help 3 pointers in the care of other Cyprus rescue organisations. We also donated 170 euros to Nicosia Dog Shelter to help with some puppies they had taken in.
We received £7848.80 from Tracy’s Apollo auction, £2078 from Nicola’s raffle, £342 from Jan’s bonus ball fundraisers, £30 from Ashcroft Animal Accessories, £445.95 from Easyfundraising, £140 from Martin Tilney, £193 from Tara King, £64 from Liz Robson, £40 from Paul Williamson’s fantasy football and £45 in general donations.
Our 2022 photo competition ended 7 August. We received 560 entries in total and the amount raised in entry fees was £2800. All the winning entries will feature in our 2023 calendar which will be available to purchase in a few weeks time.
The August winner of the monthly draw who wins a Christine Cummings ceramic sculpture in our Pay It Forward fundraising event is Aud Beale.
Across our three facebook groups (Rehoming Cyprus Pointers, Apollo’s Angels and Apollo’s Angels Events) 320 new members joined and there were a total of 35,632 posts, comments and reactions during August.
The next summary will be posted 1st October.
