We currently have 22 dogs in our care, 10 of whom are reserved. We have one dog who we originally rehomed in 2019 who has become available again and he is currently in a foster home in the north east of England.

We had a flight mid-September for 12 dogs all of whom had forever homes waiting for them. We have 4 flights during October for a total of 14 dogs, 10 of which have home offers in place.

We paid our outstanding Cyprus kennel and vet bills at a total cost of 10,128 euros. We received a total of £3100 in entry fees from our annual photo competition and we would like to thank everyone who took part. The winning entries will feature in our 2021 calendar which will be on sale shortly along with our Christmas cards.

We fully funded one elderly GSP boy and part funded another elderly GSP girl to come to forever homes in the UK. We donated £100 to help one pointer in the care of a Cyprus based rescue organisation and also donated a bag of Apollo dog food value £59.99 to the Gonyeli shelter fundraising auction. We donated two Apollo jumpers to two elderly GSP’s from Cyprus who were recently rehomed in the UK. The 85 x 15kg bags of Apollo dog food which we sent out in conjunction with Take Away The Tears arrived in Cyprus and were distributed around several of the smaller shelters and pounds on the island.

We began the Apollo raffle which has lots of fabulous prizes available and will run through until 11 October. We restocked our supply of Apollo fleece dog jumpers and coats ready for winter and now have all sizes and colours available.
We welcomed 254 new members to our three groups (Rehoming Cyprus Pointers, Apollo’s Angels and Apollo’s Angels Events), and now have over 7000 members in the Rehoming Cyprus Pointers group. We had a total of 32,400 posts, comments and reactions during September.

The next summary will be posted 1st November.
