We thought it would be a good idea to post a summary on the first day of each month with brief details about what has happened in our groups during the previous month, which we hope will make it easier for people to follow everything that is going on. Please do feel free to share our achievements with anyone who you feel would be interested, or wish to support us in the future…

We currently have 21 pointers within our care in Cyprus, 9 of whom are reserved and will be arriving to their new UK homes in March. We will also be bringing 4 dogs into UK foster in March.

More information about all of the dogs within our care can be found by visiting our website.

During January, we achieved the following:

  1. 3 pointers in UK foster went to their new homes.
  2. We paid our outstanding Cyprus vet and kennel fees of £2,748.30. We also donated a total of £375.00 towards the vet bills of three pointers in the care of other Cyprus rescue organisations, and donated 5 fleece dog jumpers.
  3. We received £1,390.87 from the 2019 ‘Save a Penny, Save a Life’ fundraiser and set up the Apollo’s Angels ‘Unwanted Gift Auction’ which ends on the 2nd February.
  4. We welcomed 137 new members into our 3 Facebook groups: Rehoming Cyprus Pointers, Apollo’s Angels  and Apollo’s Angels Events and there were a total of 26,300 posts, comments and reactions in those groups during January.
  5. Arrangements are well under way for the Apollo’s Angels Big Reunion, which is being held in Leicestershire on the 16th May and we hope that as many people (and dogs) as possible will attend. For more information, please visit the event page.
  6. We also have a new range of Apollo’s Angels dog food being launched in March, which is called ‘Superfood 65’ and we will be posting more details over the next few weeks.

Foster homes are always needed. If you could be interested, we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch with Janice McNaughton or contact us via our website if you have any questions or would like further information and/or an application form. (We cover all costs including food and vet bills whilst a dog is in foster.)

The next summary will be posted on the 1st March, 2020.
