This is the summary of what our groups have been involved with during May 2022.

We currently have 31 dogs in our care, of whom 7 are reserved.

We had one flight 2 May for 6 dogs, 5 of whom had forever homes in place and one is currently in foster in Cornwall. Two other dogs we had in UK foster moved to their forever homes during May. Our next flight is 12 June and there will be 14 dogs travelling in total. 5 of them have forever homes in place and 9 will be going into UK foster.

We paid our outstanding Cyprus kennel and vet fees which totalled 4261 euros and donated £250 to Take Away The Tears to help towards the delivery costs of donated dog food. We also donated £150 to Great Bulls of China as a thank you to them for 15 travel crates they donated to us.

We received £343 from Jan’s bonus ball fundraisers, £65 from Ashcroft Animal Accessories, £250 from Adam Dunn, £710 from Nicola’s birthday fundraiser, £260 from Nicola’s mums birthday fundraiser, £150 from Nicola’s card sales, £95 from concert tickets donated by Wendy McIntosh, £180 from Jan Gurney and £35 in general donations.

We also received £200 from Sarah Walker who is currently sponsoring Reece for us.

We will be starting our 2022 photo competition this month and all the winning entries will feature in our 2023 calendar. We are looking forward to receiving lots of entries!

The May winner of the monthly draw who wins a Christine Cummings ceramic sculpture in our Pay It Forward fundraising event is Richard Ayling.

Across our three facebook groups (Rehoming Cyprus Pointers, Apollo’s Angels and Apollo’s Angels Events) 374 new members joined and there were a total of 38,213 posts, comments and reactions during May.

The next summary will be posted 1st July.
