This is the summary of what our groups have been involved with during January 2024.
We currently have 27 dogs in our care, three of which are reserved at the present time.
We had one flight on 28 January for 5 dogs one of which had a forever home and the other four were placed in UK foster. Five dogs already in UK foster were rehomed during January.
We currently have 6 dogs in UK foster at the moment, all of whom are still available.
Our next flight is on 3 March and we are in the process of arranging which dogs will be travelling on it..
We donated £200 to help 2 pointers in the care of other Cyprus based rescue organisation, and £200 to the street dog/cat neuter and release community North Cyprus which paid for 4 stray dogs to be neutered. We also donated 500 euros to Paws for homes foundation to help with vet bills.
We received £217.06 from Paypal giving fund, £278 from Jan’s bonus ball fundraisers, £82 from Nicola’s card sales, £30 from Jill Larcombe’s pub quiz, £25 from Simon Issac, £17 from Jill Larcombe’s holiday cottage jar, £20 from Jess Cotton, £115 from Lottie Long Legs, £15 from Ashcroft Animal Accessories, £150 from Geraldine Flavell, £3136.22 volume credit payment from Apollo’s Angels dog food manufacturers, and £20 in general donations. The total amount raised in the 2023 Save a penny save a life fundraiser was £1816.34.
The Apollo unwanted gift auction ended this week and the total amount raised will be posted in next months summary.
The monthly winner of our Pay it forward event who wins a pet portrait commission will be announced shortly.
Across our three Facebook groups (Rehoming Cyprus Pointers, Apollo’s Angels and Apollo’s Angels Events) 231 new members joined and there were a total of 27860 posts, comments and reactions during January.
