This is the summary of what our groups have been involved with during September 2021.

We currently have 25 dogs in our care, of whom 8 are reserved. One dog we rehomed in 2020 became available again due to a change in the family’s circumstances, and we arranged to have her collected and she is now in foster in Scotland.

We had one flight 26 September for 6 dogs 4 of whom had forever homes in place, the remaining 2 dogs went into UK foster. One dog we had in UK foster was rehomed during September. Our next flight will be 28 October and we are in the process of arranging which dogs will be travelling over.

We donated two bags of Apollo dog food value £107.98 to the Gonyeli Shelter Auction. We paid our outstanding Cyprus vet and kennel bill the total of which was 11,460 euros. We also bought harnesses for dogs in UK foster at a cost of £222.70.

We received £179 from Nina’s bonus ball fundraisers, £160 from Nicola’s card sales, £185 from Richard Hayes craft sales, £50 from Pat Cemil’s daughter Nikki’s collection, £20 from Ashcroft Animal Accessories, £12.50 from Crazydogs merchandise sales, £200 from Julie Cousins and £60 in general donations.

The September winner of the monthly draw who wins a Christine Cummings ceramic sculpture in our Pay It Forward fundraising event is Susan Burnett.

Our 2022 calendar and Christmas cards will be going on sale later this month.

We are currently organising a Christmas Auction and if anyone has any items they wish to donate please contact Tracy Payne with the details.

The average cost of each dog we rehome is currently £1200 therefore we increased our adoption fee in September to £850 for all adult dogs, puppies and dogs in UK foster.

We welcomed 146 new members to our three groups (Rehoming Cyprus Pointers, Apollo’s Angels and Apollo’s Angels Events). There were a total of 30,074 posts, comments and reactions in those three groups during September.

The next summary will be posted 1st November.
