This is the summary of what our charity has been involved with during March 2025.
We currently have 34 dogs in our care, 3 of whom are reserved at the present time.
We had one flight on 28 March for 9 dogs, 4 of which had homes in place and 5 went into UK foster. 1 of those has now been rehomed and the other 4 are still available. We currently have 5 dogs in UK foster all of which are still available. 2 other dogs in UK foster were rehomed during March.
The next flight will be on 4 May and we are currently arranging which dogs will be travelling on it.
We paid our outstanding Cyprus kennel and vets bill the total amount of which was 12,955.85 euros.
We donated £250 to the North Cyprus street dog neutering programme, and £600 for 5 pointers in the care of other Cyprus based rescue organisations. We also donated £250 to the Mission spay the strays in Nicosia and we will be supporting them with a donation every month.
We received £1090 from Nicola’s mothers day raffle, £342 from Jan’s Bonus ball, £1000 from a group member who wishes to remain anonymous, £40 from Ashcroft Animal Accessories, £81.29 from PayPal Giving Fund, £50 from Jill Larcombe, £100 from Sue Hebb in memory of her brother who sadly passed away recently, £600 from Jacqui McCormack via her employers charity donation scheme, £20 from Louise Berger and £20 in general donations.
The Apollo mega spring raffle has now begun and there are lots of fabulous prizes to be won. Details of how to buy tickets are in all our groups or please contact Tracy Payne.
The monthly winner of our Pay it forward event who wins a Mollies pet keepsakes pointer door stop commission is Sarah Martin.
Across our three Facebook groups (Rehoming Cyprus Pointers, Apollo’s Angels and Apollo’s Angels Events) 209 new members joined and there were a total of 19,692 posts, comments and reactions during March.
The next summary will be posted 1st May.
