On our trip, we met hundreds of beautiful dogs – each and every one of them, worthy of that ‘2nd chance’ – but there were bound to be some, who all but broke our hearts…

Meet James…

One day, assuming that he was about to experience what other dogs called ‘walkies’, James was taken to an industrial area outside of Nicosia. He was excited and ready. Who wouldn’t be? Finally, he was about to embrace the big, wide world and enjoy this much talked about ‘walkies’… but then, his owners did something really weird!

They opened the door, let him out, and drove away…

Why? Over, and over, and over again, James asked himself what he could possibly have done wrong, and why he was being punished. This ‘walkies’ malarky, definitely wasn’t all it was cracked up to be! It was supposed to be fun, but this was definitely NOT fun!

After a couple of weeks fending for himself, a nice lady stopped and offered him something to eat. Starving hungry and injured, he was unable to resist… and the rest is of course, history.

James is a ‘gentle giant’. Weighing in at 38 Kilos, and measuring 73cm in height and 105 cm in length, he is approximately four years old and is wormed, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He currently shares his run with Keira (a three-legged GSD), who he was put with because of his gentle nature and how cautious he is when playing with her. He is also great with all humans – to include strangers and small children, and has no issues with strange noises etc. Quite the ‘couch potato’, he would fit in anywhere – just so long as he gets regular walks and is given the love and attention he deserves.

Could you give James a loving home? If you would like to express an interest, please contact Doris or Mario at http://www.2ndchancedogs.org/contacts (or please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to put you in touch).

The sooner James finds his happy ending… the sooner a space is freed up to help 2nd Chance help another dog in need!

Thank you xx
