We currently have 23 dogs in our care, 5 of whom are reserved.

We had one flight during December for a total of 15 dogs – 13 with forever homes waiting for them and the 2 remaining dogs went into UK foster. We are currently making arrangements for another flight, hopefully late January.

We paid our outstanding Cyprus kennel and vet bills at a total cost of €5354. We donated £425 to help 4 pointers in the care of other Cyprus based rescue organisations, and also donated £100 to help a GWP in mainland Greece. We donated €4250 which was shared amongst 12 small Cyprus dog rescue organisations. We also donated Apollo dog food to the value of £60 to the Gonyeli Shelter auction.

We received £3573.31 from the sale of our Christmas cards and 2021 calendar, and we would like to thank everyone who bought them and also a huge thank you to Resource Print who donated all the printing costs again this year. We also received a total of £360 in donations for Clover, the GWP girl who came into our care, and received £595 in general donations which people sent in lieu of Christmas cards etc. We also received £38 from Charity Keyrings for sales during November.

We began the Apollo photo competition, the winning entries from which will feature on our updated website later this month.

We welcomed 441 new members to our three groups (Rehoming Cyprus Pointers, Apollo’s Angels and Apollo’s Angels Events), and now have over 8,000 members in the Rehoming Cyprus Pointers group. There were a total of 42,306 posts, comments and reactions in those three groups during December.

We would like to thank everyone for their help and support throughout 2020 and look forward to helping lots more abandoned pointers in Cyprus and finding them loving homes in the UK during 2021.

The next summary will be posted on the 1st February.
