We currently have a total of 24 dogs in our care, 13 of whom are reserved. 5 dogs were due to travel to the UK on 1st April, but that flight was sadly cancelled due to COVID-19. We are unable to book any more flights at the present time, but hope that restrictions will be eased in the next few weeks to enable flights to resume. We have 2 dogs in UK foster who are reserved and they will be able to move to their new homes as soon as the travel restrictions are lifted.

We donated £123 to help 2 pointers in the care of two other Cyprus based rescue organisations, and we also agreed to fully fund an operation that Dorothy – the elderly GSP girl in North Cyprus – had a few days ago.

The Apollo mega raffle is now well underway and will run until 15th May. There are numerous fabulous prizes available and we would like to thank everyone who has donated prizes and bought tickets. Once the raffle has ended, we will begin our annual photo competition – the winning entries of which, will feature in our 2021 calendar. The calendar and a new selection of Christmas cards will be available later in the year.

The Apollo big reunion has been rescheduled for 15 May 2021 and we will obviously have more information about that in due course.

Apollo dog food deliveries have now resumed as normal and will arrive within 2 working days of the order being placed.

We welcomed 147 new members to our 3 groups (Rehoming Cyprus Pointers, Apollo’s Angels and Apollo’s Angels Events) and we now have over 6,000 members in the Rehoming Cyprus Pointers group. There were a total of 27,900 posts, comments and reactions in those 3 groups during April.

Lastly, we hope that you are all managing to keep safe and healthy during these difficult times and would like to thank each and every one of you for your ongoing support.

The next summary will be posted on the 1st June.
