Here is the summary of what our groups have been involved with during May 2021.

We currently have 36 dogs in our care, of whom 17 are reserved.

We had four dogs in UK foster, two of whom moved to their forever homes and the remaining two are both reserved and will be going to their new homes later this month. We also had to move an elderly pointer we originally rehomed in 2015 into foster as her adopter has sadly passed away. We are at the present time working to find a new home for her and would like to thank the several group members who have been involved in the various aspects of helping to deal with this.
We have one flight 4 June for 13 dogs all of whom have forever homes in place.
We donated £550 to help three pointers in the care of other Cyprus based rescue organisations. We also paid a vet bill of £140 for a pointer we had in UK foster.
We received £50 from Sarah Walkers shoe sale, £16 from Lisa’s pocket pouch sales, £400 from Nicola’s fundraiser for Baxter’s eye operation, £587.84 from Thomas Foy’s fundraiser, £550 from the sponsors of the 2022 calendar photo competition categories and £385 in general donations. We also received £102.66 from Easyfundraising making the total amount we have received from them to date £8050.57.
The May winner of the monthly draw who wins a Christine Cummings ceramic sculpture in our Pay It Forward fundraising event is Jayne Evans.
Nina launched a joint fundraiser raffle the proceeds from which will be divided between Apollo’s Angels and Merlin’s Haven.
We began our annual photo competition and the winning entries from it will feature in our 2022 calendar which will go on sale later this year along with three new Christmas card designs.
We welcomed 194 new members to our three groups (Rehoming Cyprus Pointers, Apollo’s Angels and Apollo’s Angels Events), and now have over 9000 members in the Rehoming Cyprus Pointers group. There were a total of 39,944 posts, comments and reactions in those three groups during May.
The next summary will be posted 1st July.
